Perfumes are classified as hazardous materials because of their alcohol content and flammable properties. Therefore, postal services have strict restrictions on sending them and the Civil Aviation Authority can issue steep fines should a parcel containing perfume make it onto a flight.

The same prohibition is extended to aftershaves and items such as nail varnish remover.

When booking international shipments, always check the restricted and prohibited lists of the couriers. If in doubt, contact us at [email protected] or Live chat, for advice.
