Krakow was chosen by Germany as the centre for its General Government of the country in World War 11. This Government immediately declared all Poles and Jews as sub humans and were targeted for extermination. The Jews were imprisoned in the Krakow Ghetto for transportation the extermination camps of Auschwitz and concentration camp of Plaszow in the lowest period of its existence.
